Hello! My name's Jack, and I've been a professional graphic designer since June 2023. That's me in the accompanying photo, alongside my fiancée on West Bay beach in April 2026.

My love for graphic design started when I created a logo for a friend's family business back when I was at Falmouth University. I loved seeing that business come to life with my work at the forefront, and that feeling is still the same in me today. Nothing beats the joy I feel seeing my work on the biggest scale.

In January 2023, I took advantage of a redundancy from a customer service role to set out on a self-employed design journey. I learnt a lot in that 6 months about who I am and the environment I need to thrive, and chose to pursue a full-time position.

I was offered a role at Goodwin Graphics in June 2023, and have been under the tutelage of David Goodwin - a vehicle wrapping designer and installer of over 15 years - since then.

 

Goodwin Graphics are commercial vehicle wrapping specialists, serving businesses across Dorset and beyond. This wide variety of businesses means that my role has massive diversity.

From designing full three-dimensional vehicle wraps in my day-to-day, to branding and  packaging designs for a milkshake powder, my role has taught me a lot about what it is to be a graphic designer - be ready for anything, and embrace the challenge.

 

With each passing day I feel my skills and confidence growing thanks to the huge variety of design I have the privelege to undertake.
